Stage One
Built in 1984 as a crown green bowling rink, Stage One played host to the 1986 Indoor Bowls Championship.
It was converted to the main Coronation Street studio in 1989, opening in 1990 and extended in 1996. In 1997, additional dressing rooms were added to the third floor which opened in 1998.
Stage Two (1993) was also used for Coronation Street from 2003 but is not photographed here.

Other studios
Over the years, other studios were also used for Coronation Street filming. These include the Breeze Studio (built in 1998 and used in 2004 as a Hindu temple set for Dev and Sunita’s wedding reception), Studio 12 (built in 1961 and previously used for Stars In Their Eyes), and the original Coronation Street studio, Studio 2.
